Category & Speed: Supports Category 6A (Class EA) performance up to 500 MHz, enabling reliable 10GBASE-T transmission with backward compatibility.
Shielding (F/UTP): Features an overall foil shield around the twisted pairs. This construction significantly reduces electromagnetic interference (EMI) and alien crosstalk, ensuring stable data transmission in noisy environments.
Jacket Rating (CM/LSZH): The Low Smoke Zero Halogen jacket emits limited smoke and no toxic halogen gases in a fire, making it safer for enclosed spaces. The CM rating indicates suitability for general-purpose building installations .
Physical & Safety Features
Conductors & Connectors: Typically constructed with 26 AWG stranded copper for flexibility and durability. It terminates in RJ45 plugs with 50-micron gold plating on the contacts for long-term reliability .
Strain Relief & Latch: Features a tangle-free latch to prevent snags during moves and changes. The slender strain relief boot is designed for easy access in high-density patch panels .
Power over Ethernet (PoE): Fully supports PoE/PoE+/PoE++ (IEEE 802.3af/at/bt), allowing it to safely power devices such as IP cameras, wireless access points, and VoIP phones .
