- Datasheet
- Category & Speed: Category 6A (Class EA) supports 10GBASE-T speeds up to 500 MHz, with full backward compatibility for slower networks .
- Shielding (F/UTP): Features an overall foil shield around the twisted pairs to protect against Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and crosstalk, ensuring stable data transmission .
- Jacket Material (CM/LSZH): The Low Smoke Zero Halogen jacket emits limited smoke and no toxic halogen gases in a fire, making it a safer choice for populated areas . The CM rating indicates it is suitable for general-purpose building installations .
- Connectors: Equipped with RJ45 plugs on both ends, often with 50 micro-inch gold-plated contacts for reliable, long-term connectivity .
Physical & Safety Features
- Conductor & AWG: Typically uses 28 AWG (or sometimes 26 AWG) stranded copper conductors, balancing flexibility with durability for patching applications .
- Strain Relief & Latch: Often includes a snagless or tangle-free latch to protect the connector tab, and a slender strain relief boot for easy access in high-density patch panels .
- Power over Ethernet (PoE): Fully supports PoE/PoE+/PoE++ (IEEE 802.3af/at/bt), allowing it to safely power devices such as IP cameras, access points, and VoIP phones.
