Device Type: 8-Foot Metal Floor Trunking (Surface-Mounted Cable Raceway)
Length: 8 feet (approx. 2.4 meters) per section
Material: Durable metal construction — typically galvanised steel or powder-coated steel for mechanical strength and corrosion resistance
Profile / Shape: Rectangular (standard) or semi-circular/low-profile variant to reduce trip hazards; smooth professional finish
Cable Capacity: Generous internal space for organising multiple power and data cables over longer runs; exact capacity depends on manufacturer profile and compartment configuration
Cover: Removable cover for easy cable access, installation, and maintenance
Mounting: Floor-mounted using appropriate brackets, clips, or fasteners; secure fixing for commercial/industrial floor surfaces
Finish Options: Painted, powder-coated, or galvanised corrosion-resistant coating to suit the environment
Compliance / Standards: Metal trunking generally expected to meet relevant electrical/safety standards; steel thickness often specified by profile size (e.g., BS 4678-2 guidance for compartment widths)
Key Specs: 8 ft (approx. 2.4 m) metal floor trunking, galvanised/powder-coated steel, rectangular or semi-circular profile, removable cover, multi-cable capacity, floor-mount brackets/fasteners, corrosion-resistant finish, long-run cable pathway
Usage: Organising and protecting electrical and data cables across floor surfaces over longer spans; offices, commercial buildings, industrial facilities, data centres, schools, hospitals, hotels, exhibition halls, and high-traffic areas requiring a robust low-profile cable pathway
